OTAKI SHOW.
TO TAKE PLACE TO-MORROW. The first show fixture of the present season under the auspices of the Otaki Horticultural and Daffodil Society will take place in the Otaki Theatre to-mor-row. Unfortunately the wet weather of the past week will somewhat affect the quality of the blooms, but despite this drawback the show promises to bo strongly supported and will undoubtedly prove as successful as any fixture in former years. Mr Norgrove, the energetic secretary, was busily engaged taking entries to-day. and informed the "Mail" that the competition in the various sections was very encouraging, and there was every prospect of tomorrow 's display being up to the usual high standard. Outside exhibitors arc also well represented, whilst the locnl horticulturists had come well to the j front.
The school section is going to provide an interesting collection of work, and in every other respect the Show should be a line demonstration of the producing qualities of the soil in Otuki and adjacent districts. Tea-rooms will be conducted as usual) nud the Society will have a produce stall. Donations to either oj these will be much appreciated.
