LAST NIGHT'S MEETING. A meeting of the Otaki Borough Council was held last evening. Present: The Mayor and Crs. Bills, Broadway, Carkeek, Cockrell, Kilsbv and Taylor. Correspondence. Correspondence was read and dealt with as follows: From '.lie Queensland Insurance Company, asking for a share in the Council's business.—Decided to ballot between the several companies when the next payments become due. When discussing this report Councillors made complaint that several septic tanks were in course of erection within the Borough, which was contrary to the wishes of the Public Health Department.
