Don't forget before you vote that New Zealand's Prohibition law is already made, ana "its conditions have passed both Houses. Some people still imagine that if Prohibition is voted "in" by the referendum a law will then be drafted to enforce it. That is not so. The law was drafted and approved by Parliament in 1918, uuu it automatically comes into, force upon a poll in j favour oi Prohibition, ' ( It provides that — You may not make home-brewed beer or home-made wine for your own consumption. , You may not manufacture, import, or i sell liquyv, nor have it in your possession for sale. Any Justice of the Peace may issue a warrant for the search of 3"our hou»e by police at any time of the day or nighi. Fines for breaches of law: £IOO first offence, three months of second offence (no option of fine). If a company commits breach, £2OO and respectively, No compensation to any person deprived of a living by prohibition. No compensation to anyone whose trade, business or property is injured or depreciated by prohibition. Just weigh th.ese facta very carefully in your mind before going to the polling booth. Think of-what this drastic legislation would mean, and vote Continuance. '■>'•
