• ♦— RAILWAY CLUB. A meeting of the Railway Club was held last night, Mr S. Parker presiding. There was a fair attendance. The question ot securing the domain for playing purposes was discussed and it was generally considered that the Borough Council should have it put in order, af- I ter which the Clubs interested should do their share in the upkeep, etc. Mr 11. Taylor, one of tile Domain Commit- j tee, offered to do his best in the matter. but pointed out that there was a lack of funds.
Messrs Len Kilmister, A. Flutey, and F. Guerney were elected a management committee, and Messrs S. Parker, Flutey, and R. King selectors. The purchase of material was considered, and it was estimated that the cost would be £l2 (is (id. The offer of Mr G. Siddells to secure the necessary gear at wholesale price was accepted, and he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
The Secretary reported a credit bal ance of over £S.
There will be a practice on the domain to-morrow, the grass having been cut and the ground prepared generally. New material will be to hand, and a good muster is expected. Otaki Railway team v.
