OTAKI—THURSDAY. (Before J, Logan Stout, Esq., 8.M.) Breach of Act. Police v. Mohi Wharewhiti.—Charge ol having an unregistered firearm i: his possession. Defendant pleaded no: guilty. Constable Brydonc said defendant admitted having an unregister ed gun, and said he had made an application for registration after he hi been advised to do so by a storekeeper, Defendant said he did not know h; had to register his firearm. The F.M. saiil defendant ought to have known and therefore ho vorii be fined 10s aud costs. Police v. Richard James HoopeiCharge of obtaining a pea rifle withots having obtained n permit—Defends!.: pleaded guilty. Constable Brydote said the defendant secured posseesios of the firearm, not being aware of it* Act.—Fined 10s and costs. Alleged Assault. Kaliu Ilori v. Mita Hori.—Charge t assault, there was no appearance cither party, and the case was strt'j out, Clvfl Cases.
