OTAKI H. AND D. SOCIETY
A committee meeting of the Otaki Horticultural and Daffodil Society was held on Tuesday evening, when there were present Mesdames Nicolson and Reynolds, Misses Baker and Whiteman, Messrs AVitchell (chairman), Cockrell, Evans, Broadway, D. Noble, Wilson. Bramley and Rev. Petrie. Class stewards wore appointed as under:—Pot plants, and cut "blooms. Messrs Wilson, Summers and Poynter; fruit and vegetables, Messrs Evans, Reynolds, and Noble; bouquets and decorations, Mesdames AVitchell and Wilson; needlework, Miss Bradey and Mrs Bramley; domestic, Miss Ashton, Messrs P. Taylor. H. Cockrell; schoolwork, Misses Miller and Bradey and. Rev. Pe-
Judges: Pot plants, cut blooms, etc., Mr A. J. Shailer (Palmerston North): bouquets and decorations, Mrs C. M. Imrie (Palmerston North) ; needlework. Mrs Mauierton (Wellington); domestic, Mr .J. J, Whitehead (Palmerston North); school work. Miss Lawson (Wellington). Trophies won at Bulb Show in September were presented to Messrs 11. Cockrell. W. H. Reynolds, an d 11. Small, 'while Mr Reynolds exhibited the hand-f-spirte silver cup he had secured a win for at the Hutt Society’s late Bulb -Show, and for which Mr 31. Small secured second place. Both were congratulated by the member- on their success. It'was resolved that 'he Society provide . vases- for table decorations. The tea rooms will be under the management of Misses Baker and Whiteman and the cake and produce stall under the c-ontrol Of Mesdamc- Reynoldand Nicolson.
