OUR ROADS.

To the Editor. Sir, —May 1 state that I have never seen our roads so bad as at present, and why? Because in the first place unsuitable metal is u.-ed, the boulders roll, ultimately are covered with dirt to keep them in position. Why not put on line gravel, and have the roads we were used to a year or so ago? Tasman Road is a disgrace, Waerenga road is past a joke, while by-roads are a little better. Now, cheerio, Councillors, and give us decent thoroughfares—we want no river-beds to walk over! —-1 am.
