JJURSL'ANT to Section <> of “The River Boards Act, 190S,’’ NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the petition, particulars of which are hereunder written, will be presented to HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR GENERAL at the expiration of one month from the date hereof, praying for the constitution of a RIVER " DISTRICT, to be known as the OTAKI RIVER DISTRICT. The above proposed River District comprises an area of 3,8-2 acres, more or less, situated partly in the Horowhenua County and partly in the Borough of Otaki. The District embraces lands on both banks of the Otaki River, and the boundaries are approximately as follows: Commencing at, and including Part Section 10 and AVaihoanga Part 4A, Block 4, Ixaitawu, the boundary runs in a North-westerly direction by the South-western boundary of lot 3, AVaihoanga 18, to the point of its intersection with the Raliui Road, thence along the Raliui Road to the Railway line at the Kahili Dairy Company’s Factory, thence along the Railway line in a South-westerly direction to a point opposite the AVacreuga Road, thence towards the sea, taking in several properties in the Kaingaraki Block, and striking the boundary of the previously existing Town District of Otaki, it follows that boundary until the AA'estcrn boundary of the Old Race-course is reached, when it crosses the Otaki River in a Southerly direction, and taking in all the properties occupied by -Air F. J. Ryder, runs in an Easterly direction to the overhead bridge over the Main Trunk Railway liue. The boundary runs thence along the Hautere Deviation Road, taking in all the property of Mr G. 11. Harper, and eventually striking the main Hautere Road at the corner of Mr AVilliam Fielding’s property. From that point it runs in an Easterly direction along tlie main Hautere Road- until the Eastermost boundary of Mr Harry Fielding’s property is reached, wheu the boundary crosses the Otaki River and links with the point of commencement. The Petition will be open for inspection during office hours at the Borough Council Chambers, Otaki, during the period of one month from the date hereof.
