DROWNING FATALITY AT PARAPARAUMU.

♦ MR H. PRATLEY LOSES HIS LIRE. A sad drowning fatality occurred at Paraparaurnu yesterday afternoon when Mr 11. Pratley. a well-known resident. lost his life. It appears that a partv was. fishing off the beach when the boat capsized. All except Mr Pratley reached shore. The body was recovered at 11.30 last night. An inquest will be hc-ld to-morrow. Later information states that the patty had left the launch in a dinghy ior the shore, when the dinghy capsized. Mr Pratley was well-krovrx throughout the district, was popular and highly respected, and much sympathy i- expressed rot Airs Pratley and relatives.
