OTAKI BOWLING CLUB.

A meeting of members of the Otaki Bowling Club was held on Saturday night, Mr T. O 'Rourke presiding. There was a good attendance. The matter of securing a. suitable roller was left to the green committee, while it was suggested that the shield given by Airs Mcßcath be competed for by pairs. After discussion a notice of motion to this effect was tabled. A letter was received from the Levin Club, stating that their green would be opened on the JOth inst.. ami asking that one rink from Otaki participate.—Agreed to send a rink. The question of an opening dale for the Otaki Club was discussed, and it was decided to open on the same day (JiltM. It was pointed out thar Otaki ’s opening would in no way interfere with Levin ns the latter Club only had a portion of their green ready for play. It was decided to invite rinks from Levin. Boston, Shannon, and Karori to take part. The Secretary (Mr Ficeman) reported a credit of £S 7s chi from the recent bull. This was considered satisfactory. ll was pointed out that the IVarccy cup was not played for lasi season, and a suggestion was made that the competition lie open to Clubs in the llorowlienun County, but this found no support, and it was agreed that the eup be played for by rinks, that four g"M mydals accompany it, and that the committee draw up conditions. It was pointed out that an Otaki rink still held the Kinniburgh feathers. Messrs Heald. List, and Wilson were elected as members.
