Intimation has been received by the New Zealand Farmers' Union from the associated banks that the rate of interests on overdrafts will be reduced when the financial conditions in the Dominion warrant a reduction.
In reply to a query by a "Mail" representative, Mr G. A. Monk, the County chairman, stated that he did not intend to contest the Otaki seat at the forthcoming election. He had his hands full as chairman of the Power Board, which took all his spare time. Had he been free from that position, he would in till probability have been a candidate for the seat.

The funeral of the late Mr Robert Kuiislicld look place yesterday, when the remains were buried at Ohau. The cortege was » lengthy one, and included large numbers of both Europeans
