EXPLANATION WANTED.
To the Editor, —ln your issue of the fith September you stated that at a mooting of the Horowhemia Rugby Union, held nr Levin-on the sth, Mr Carmichael stated that 1 had no right to arrange cup nmtdies other than Old Boys and Ota, hi. 1 luny sav that Mr Carmichael ’phoned a message to Otaki, and Mr Levis received it and wrote it down, it was "‘Wanderers unable to play .Saturday, arrange match Ouiki-Porirua, winners play Hovers next Saturday." That being the ease it is quite evident that T acted within my bounds and according to instructions given. I think art explanation i- due to me from Mr Carmichael why h° instructed me to do as did. and then contradict it at the meeting. Trusting to see his explanation in your next issue.—l am. etc.,.
