(2) That, the text book be used in the State schools for Scripture lessons to be given hy the teachers, with simple explanations lor lilteen minutes daily, to be opened with the Lord's I'layer.

(3) Thai \ conscience clause be allowed for teachers unwilling to give Scripture instruction, and lor parents iioi desiring their children to attend such instruction.

•A; In the event of any teacher availing himself of the conscience clause the School Committee shall make suitable arrangements for conducing the Scripture lessons, 'Die resolutions were submitted to the Minister tor Education, and Mr Caugliley, Director of Education, The Minister promised to bring them before the Cabinet.
