I hi. Council agree to the alteration t" alphabetical order and to sniall altera tions la the spelling of -umc of the names, on the Fahautanui memorial. The alterations of spelling to be submit led to those parents interested for il.eir f ppro' :! 1 beiore being put on the plate. ‘ ’ Messrs Abbott and Lynch .aid they desired to ree the names on the memorial properly arranged, and agreed the motion. Mackay considered the action of Airs Harris was unreasonable, while Cr Limbrick considered the Council hould rule aud not be influenced by .! nv oik* peisoc. The motion was carried, while it "as agreed to write to Airs Harris Risking it' was willing to have her son’s name out vn the memorial.
