OTAKI LITERARY CLUB.

The usual fortnightly meeting of the Otaki Literary and Debating Club was held on Monday flight with a fair attendance. The subject for the evening was a debate on '' If travel the be*t means of education?" Mi.-s Hardy took the affirmative, seconded by Rev. Keal!, and Mrs Joplitt, seconded by Mis.- Lee. took the negative. A general interesting discussion ensued. The voting resulted in a majority for the negative—book study.
