Saturday was not a good golfing day as there was a strong bleak southerly. Nevertheless, the scores in both the ladies' and man’* medal competitions w-ere good. Miss Quill kept on her winning way and won her seventh consecutive victory with a nett score of 74-. Miss Brandon being one stroke mere. In the men’s event Wills, tm 10-73. earned a well-deserved prize. This player has liven practising steadily. 1 and is a keen, determined player, and will go far if he can develop a more I graceful style. j Manawatu is sending a tea-m down j next Saturday, and the following are j requested to be at the links n.ot later j than 1 p.m.—Mre TV.
