Owing to tin; ‘ ‘ Kimutakfi' ’ being delayed lister Lewn did not leave lor England till to-day. Mr B. A. ini'-oii. -tuoyniaa.-tcr at Otaki, i- at pit--,on. on lurlougk, and will spend Li.- holiday in the Wellington and Jiawkes ’ Bay di-trict.-. The funeral of the late M r Allan Car* mont took place on \\eduesday, and wa- well attended. The Kev. Father Melu conducted tin impressive ceremony at the graveside, while several floral tributes v.ete placed on the coffin. Mr and Mr- H. H. Olliver leave Wellington on Saturday for the South Island. where they will spend a holiday at Dunedin and other places of interest. Mr/ Olliver expects to be away >or a couple of month.-. Mr P. L. Hollings, Stipendiary Magistrate at Wanganui, is leaving the magistracy at the end of the month ind returning to Wairarapa, where he will contest the Masierton seat a-, the generai election. Mr Hollings was for many years Mayor of Master ton, •vkere h-- resided for Zb years.
