FANCY DRESS BALL. A children's fancy iLoss bull was liol 1 at Manakau last night for the purpose of raising money for the Koturned Soldiers' fund, and it is pleasing to record that the function was a. great success, socially and financially. The attendance was large, the party a merry one, while the dresses were pietty and quaint, in fact the judges (Mrs P. Sjinieox ana Mrs J. U'iug nad such difficulty in awarding the prizes thai tliey gave special ones. Music ivas supplied by Misses George (-; and -Hi Lick l'atuaka, while Miss -mh's was a very capable secretary.
