ALL SAINTS' CHURCH.

VESTRY MEETING,

A meeting of All Saints' vestrj was held on Friday night, the For. G. t". I'otric, M.A., presiding. The chairman welcomed Mr S. Norgrove back as a member of the vestry, stating that ho had always been a good worker, and referred to the fact that Mr F. X.

Lauchester had been admitted as new blood. Mr Lauchestcr, like Mr Nor"rove, had been a regular Church at-

tendant and had done good work in the past. The Kev. Petrie then dealt with the finances of the Church, stating that during the year £235 had been given in general offertories, and £•"><> i„ special, in all nearly £3OO, which he considered .-poke well for such a small district like Otaki. He considered Otaki compared more than favorably villi any of the large towns. The ,tributions through the Mi.-sion Guild amounted tu £llO, and this he thought a splendid result. The matter of a Church hall was discussed, and such a building was considered very necessary. Messrs Best, St. George, Davies, and Norgrove were appointed a committee to go into the matter and report in a month's time.
