THEATRE CHARGES.

To tl o Editor. c;; r. —I should esteem it a favor if you w ill grant me a liule space tu refute a few of the falsehoods being circulated about the charges 1 am making for the use of the thoulie. At a recent meeting of the Horticultural Society, it w.as stated that they "couldn't afford to pay £7 for the use of the theatre, etc.''' I would like to know where (ho individual got h; j information from, especially in view- of the fact thai that same Society had paid only £4, and that since then have engaged the theatre again at the same price (£4). T am told that at a recent meeting of Druids another "well-in-formed individual" stated that if the Druids wanted the theatre for a ball they would have to pay £8 or £S 10s, also that 1 had demanded half the pro eeeds as an iiltorimtive.
