AVarnock, who has been first 1 assistant at the Te iioro Hairy Co’s, factory for the past three years, has been appointed manager of the Takoraiti factory in the Dannevirke district, and leaves early in July to take up his new position. Mr W. S. Hat ten, of Te iioro, leaves shortly to take tip residence at AVera- . roa. where he has secured a farm. Mr Hat ten will be greatly missed from this district especially by the Te Horo snorts club. He will be accompanied j bv his father. * i On .Saturday night there passed away , one of the dearly beloved pioneer settlers of Colyton, Mrs Ellen Adsett, aged 7f* years, whose husband, Air Henrv Adsett. died 14 years ago. The Au.-etts went into the wild area behind Feilding 47 years ago, set up a sawmill, and literally carved a hpine out of the bush, converting the land into a beaui iful farm. Five sons and four daughters mourn the passing of an affectionate parent, the following being the names of the family: Arthur (Dannevirke), Harry (Otaki), George and Albert ‘(Tanmaranui), Walter (Colyton). The daughters are: Airs J. Laing (Colytor). Mrs AM. H. AA'iUiamson (Taumarur,ui). Alis-e- L. and H. Adsett (Colyton). —Feilding Star.
