The Old Boys’ Football Club ’s [ (third-grade) dance held in the theatre' last evening proved very enjoyable, ali present passing a pleasant time. The decorations, floor, and supper urrangc- ’ meats reflected great credit on the committee, who certainly deserve kudos for their work. The music was good, while Mr M. Murray was an able M.C. Anniversary services in connection with the Otaki Methodist Church will be held on Sunday, June -Itb, when the Kev. A. Ashcroft will be the preacher at both services. The Ilautere Defence Biflc Club’s annual ball will be- held on Wednesday, June 7th. when the presentation of trophies will be made by Mr W. H. Field, M.P. The opening social of the Otaki Literary and Debating Club will be held to-night in the Druids’ Hall, commencing at 7.30. Admission will be free, while all are welcome.
