OTAKI CHORAL SOCIETY.
GRAND CONCERT.
The members of the above Society have been practising assidiooely for some time, and in consequence a musical treat is in store for those who attend the concert at the theatre to-mor-row night. Some first-class items will be submitted, while “The Bose Maiden,’’ a beautiful cantata, will also be given. The argument is a* follows; — 1 “The queen of the flower fairies, weary of a life of unbroken calm, prays of the newly returned Spring that he will bestow upon her also the gift of leva that he bestows npon man. fie warns her of the risk .he runs, but finally yields to her entreaties by changing her, while she sleep#, into the form 0/ a beautiful girl. finder the cam# of Boseblossota, she wander* through the world to -find the levs that she seeks, and meets with a girl who, having been betrayed and deserted by her lover, loses her senses and dies broken-heart-ed. But, undeterred from her search. Koseblossom becomes the wife of a forester, with whom she lives for a tim# in such perfect happiness that she cannot survive his death.
