KATANA.
To the Editor, <; r — Some considerable time back, When at a meeting of the Anglican Church Synod in Wellington, in conation With a motion proposed by one <i the reverend gentlemen present, it was proposed that' a letter of appreciation be sent to Katana. A discussion followed, and some of the members sug•'ested that first an investigation be madp bv scientists, but this proposition upon being put to the meeting, was not carried. Well, Mr Editor, there is now ample opportunity for investigation. During the last two er three meetings there have been one ox two “lights” showing, at prayer time, between 7 and B'p.m. similar to motor car lights, and in places where motor cars cannot got. The Maoris, of course, say these lights are supernatural—supernatant. Well, Sir. they mav be. Any way it is a good matter for scientific investigation, as it is a subject well worthy of throwing more light upon. At this last Easter meeting these mysterious lights had increased in number, there being six plainly visible. I know of one smart Maori’ jrho is prepared to investigate; name at “Mail” Office.—l am, etc., ✓ A. .T. KNOCKS.. N.B. —In connection with the abovementioned lights, one of our prominent elderlv local Maori ladies at Katana = late meeting, was heard to remark. “I wonder if my dear old father and mv husband are among those now showing lights from Spirit Land.
