WAIKANAE NOTES.
Mr G. L. Bannatyne, who recently sold his farm property at “Riki” to Messrs Hooper Bros., leaves in the course of a few weeks to take up his residence at Muratai. Mr Bannatyne, who has been a keen worker in all s»cial functions at “Kiki, ” will be much missed. Mr and Mrs A. W. Roberts, who have been on a three weeks’ holiday to the Nelson district, returned to Waikuime on Thursday night. Miss Bolton, of I’ahautanui, has been ■appointed assistant post, mistress hcTc. The annual ball of the Waikanae Gun Club was held on Wednesday, and was voted a huge success. Extras were played by Mr P. Enoka, Mrs T. Paruta, and Miss W. Parata, and a sumptuous supper was enjoyed by all. Mr T. Parata proved an efficient. M.C. Mahara House which has been well patronised during Easter is now back to normal.
