LOCKED-OUT ENGINEERS
APPEAL TO LABOUR TO AVERT DEFEAT. Londoi, April 11. The Independent Labour Conference requested its branches to support to the utmost the engineers and others who were locked out. Mr Smillie declaring that if the affected unions -were defeated it .would entail a serious set-back to the whole Labour movement.
