Mr T. King left Ot«ii yesterday for Wellingtcfe, where, he 'joins the Moeraki to-moreosr' for Sydney. From there Mr King -will journey to Chios end other places of interest. It is no-w fifteen years since he made a similar trip.
There was a big gathering at the Springlands School on Saturday afternoon to say good-bye to Mr H. J, Howard, the schoolmaster, who has been transferred to Weikanae, near Wellington. and Mrs Howard. It if estimated that nearly 500 people were pxsaeat.
