TO-NIGHT,
A fascinating story of crime is offered in “The Wakefield Case,” which comes to the theatre to-night with Herbert Bawlinson as the star. This photoplay is the work of Shannon Fife, an author long experienced in writing for the screen. He has woven together a remarkable thread of melodramatic incidents, all of whieh revolve about the detection pf crime. "The Wakefield .Case” carries what is known in the underworld as the Master Mind, a figure who Is dominant over his associates and who conceives and executes the daring exploit* of hi* profession. It not only boasts of one Master Mind, but three as well. They all schema and plan to overthrow each other ss well as the entire police force* of two continent*. Against these sinister forces of the underworld, Herbert Rawlisson, in the character pf Neil Hartley, match#* hi# wif*. The oatcom* afford* the spectator a continuation of thrills, from beginning to end. "The Wait* Held Case" is marked fer its lively action and its dominant note of mystery and snspe&se, It is finely acted by s well-known east of players. “IK* LAST STRAW.” FJtIDAT SIGHT. Buek Jones, the new sensation of th# screen, makes a thrilling debut in “Th* Last Straw,” a western drama of le*» and adventure by Harold Titus, which William Fox will present on Friday. Buek Jones demonstrated hi* pearls** skill as a horseman before Fresidfrf Wilson, President Poincare of Franc*, and the crowned, heads of Great Britain, Belgium and Italy.
