FOOTBALL.
The following will represent, Old Boys Juniors against Marist Bros, on Easter Monday:—Full back, C. Enoka; three quarters, S. Enoka. W. D’Ath, C. O’Rourke; five-eighths, W. Pohio, D. D’Ath; half, M. Mclntyre; wing forward. A. Wallace; forwards. W. Bailey, H. Ransfield, A. Flutey. A. Winterburn, G. Gray, M. Hakaraia. W. Chaney. Emergencies. Gordon, Leahy, Winterburn. A meeting of the Horowhonua Rugby Union was held last night at Levin. The question of insurance of players and payment for injuries was brought forward by Mr S. Porker, when it was stated that the Otaki Club had three members injured but had received no pay from the Union despite the fact that the Club had a good record by paying all fees due. The Union promised to attend to the matter, and hoped to place things in general on a better footing. The following wcTe elected os a management committee: —Father Vibaud. Messrs Dixon, M. Winiata, W. Be van, F. Whibley and Percy; secretary, Mr Carmichael.
It will be noticed that the personnel of the Cnion is almost entirely changed. many of the old members being replaced by new ones. Members of the Hui Mai Football Club are busy laying out their ground at Manakau for the coming season. Keen interest is being taken in the game and it is probable Manakau may enter three teams.
