RIFLE SHOOTING.
WHAREROA CLUB. On Saturday last a match that caused not a little excitement was tired on the local range between members of the local Gun Club and Rifle Club at ranges 200 and 300 yards. At the end of +hc shooting at 200 yards the Rifle Club h&ld but a small advantage over the “ pigeon shooters,’’ only two points separating the teams, but at 300 yards the Rifle Club gradually went away and at the finish of the shoot were winners by 25 points.
