LEAVES AVELLINGTON 3.35 p.m. (Auckland arr. 2.55 p.m. following day) 12th, 13th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 23rd April. LEAVES PALMERSTON NORTH 2.35 p.m.,- connecting with 8.45 a.m. mail from Napier (Auckland arr. 5.40 a.m. following day), 13th April. On the days on which the 2 p.m. express runs the ordinary 12.45 p.m. express takes passengers from Wellington only for Taihapc and slopping stations beyond Taihape, and will not lift passengers at Palmerston North-Mercer or intermediate stopping stations. ANNUAL ELECTION OF SCHOOL i COMMITTEES. rpHE Annual Meeting of Householder.for the election of a School Committee for each duly constituted school district will be held throughout the Wellington Education District on MONDAY, April 24th at 7.30 p.m. (not 8 i p.m. in previous years). NOMINATIONS for election must be lodged in writing with the committee chairman as follows: — (a) Schools, the average of which did not exceed 120 in 1921, not later than 7.30 p.m. on Monday, April 17th, but nominations will also be received at the meeting. (b) Schools of average attendance over 120 in 1921, nominations close at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, April 17th, and no nominations will be received at the meeting. Nominations thus close at 7.30 p.m. on 17th April in the following school districts: — HUTT-HOEOWHENUA WARD: Johnsonville. Upper Butt, Jlu ritai, Ohau, Otalu, Levin, and Shannon. Nomination forms will be obtainable from Committee Chairmen, and in the case of schools of average attendance over 120 from head teachers also, after 7th instant.
