A "hard-up" dance was held at Waitaaae last week to raise funds towards improvements to the meeting-Eotuflf. There was a splendid attendance, while Ml spent an enjoyable time. Miss Jeakins and Mr Hdy won the prizes offerM in tie competition. To-night'a farewell' social will be aeMrSed to Miss Fairbairn, who shortly 'taves for Christchnrch. Mr W. T.
