RIFLE SHOOTING
On Saturday last members oi tn? Haute re Rifle Club journeyed to Paraparauniu to fire a friendly match with the local team, ten men aside. The day was not the best for good scoring, a tricky wind blowing with occasional mistv showers. The visitors proved to be the winners. Scores: — Hautere Team.
263 226 4-53 President- Cromb congratulated the winning team, and told them that he hoped to meet them again and turn the tables. President Huy suitably responded. The visitors were treated royally by the local Club, and had a most enjoyable day. The formation of a West Coast B.C. Association was discussed favorably, and also a meeting to be held on the Hautere Rifle range. Mr M. Maclean generously offered to start the ball rolling with a donation of £5 s*.
