Miss Penn, of Cambridge, is at present on holiday in Otaki. Air 0. King, who has been relieving at the Manakau Post Office, returned to Otaki on Friday. Airs Byron Brown, who has been in indifferent health for some time, is at present staying at Waikanae. Dr. Sharp, of Otaki. is at present on holiday, and Dr. McLean, of Napier, is acting as locum tenens. Aliss Mc.Lean, matron-in-ckief of the Health Department, was among the visitors to Otaki for the week-end. Mr 11. J. Aekius, of the Repatriation Department, paid an official visit to Otaki at the end of last week. Mr Robertson, manager of the N.Z. Wireless Co..- spent the week-end in tnuki, the guest of Air and Mrs C. 11. Williams. The body of Air Peter Baker, who was drowned several days ago at Foxton, has been recovered, and was buried at Otaki on Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Tomueru Tokoaitua was the officiating Minister. Miss Fairbairn. who has been on the staff of the Waikauae post office for 1 some time, leaves shortly to take up | residence in Christchurch. Prior to ■ leaving the district she will be enter- ! tained by residents.
