SEASON OPENS ON APRIL Ist. The red deer shooting season for 1922 will open ill the Wellington. Acclimatisation Society’s district on Saturday, April Ist, and close on Wednesday, Tlay 31st, 1922. ' The iieea.se fee for the Wairarapa * South and Featherston reserves is £?•, . and the holder of a license may take j four (4) stags, and six (6) hinds.. Li- - censes can be obtained from the post offices at "Wellington, Mastertoii, Carterton, Greytown, Martinborough, and Featherston. Fotr the area containing Hutt, Fca.therston counties (Wainui). Horowliv[nua and Hutt counties, Tatafua Forest Reserve", Tauherenilcau and Taihape. the license fee-is £3. and the holder r, may take two (2) stags only. Licenses | can be obtained from the post offices at Wellington, Mastcrton. Carterton. Featlicrston. Greytown, Ekctahuna. I’ahiaUia, Makuri, Pongaroa", Palmerston North, Piiraparaumu, Otaki, Taihape, Mangaweka, Shannon and Lower Hutt. The area from Shannon to Mauawatu Gorge is open to stalkers, and the Tau»hereniknu county is open for the third time for years. Regulations as to deer labels must be adhered to, and after the liecnse- [ holder has completed his season, a return of stags shot must be sent .to the local secretary, and also "any"remaining labels.
