WEEDING BELLS.

i> A ■wedding' of considerable local interest was solemnised at Ihakara yesterday, when - Rosina Blanche, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. if. Coille, was married to John .Maurice, eldest son oi Mr aiul Mrs I. Parsons, of Queen Street, Levin. The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s j Church, the Rev. Mr Grove official- j ing. The wedding march was played by I Mrs Nation, and the church was t tastefully decorated for the occasion, i The bride, who was prettily attired in- a frock of hand-embroidered crepe do chine and Oriental -satin, with a long Court train, and the orthodox veil anti orange blossoms, was given away- by her father. The bridesmaids were Miss Ivy Cottle, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Emma Parsons, a sister of the bridegroom, attended by two tiny flower-girls, Misses Nola and Evelyn Wright, of Wellington, cousins of the bride. The two former wore pink and blue crepe tie chine frocks respectively, with large black picture hats. The .’lower girls looked sweet in cream silk lace dresses over satin. The magnificent shower bourjuets carried by the bride and bridesmaids, and the daintily-decorated baskets carried by the linle flowergirls, were the handiwork and gilt c-f Mrs R.. Prouse, of Weraroa .and were greatly admired. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at a wedding breakfast in the Druids’ Hail, and following that, a dance was heid in the evertin'* fn the Ihakara Hall. Mr and Mrs Parsons left •'bp an afternoon train for Rotorua on their honeymoon trip. The happy couple were the recipients of showers of congratulatory telegrams. Both are members of well known and highly respected district families, and are personally very popular, Mr Parsons being secretary of the Levin Dairy Company, and good wishes for their future happiness will be general. Mr and Mrs Parsons received also many handsome 1 and useful presents. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold expanding wristlet watch, to the bridesmaids gold bangles, and to the flower giQs silver purses. At the dance at Ihakara the littis Misses Wright (2- gave a clever exhibition of step and fancy dancing, Which was greatly appreciated by the ( guests'. Songs were given by Miss i EQie Brcadbelt. and the dance music was played by Mrs !L £ottle and Mr ‘ Harvey Murray. i
