Card parties, were formed amongst the 17 members present, and a very enjoyable .evening was spent. Mr Guy, in a nice little speech, congratulated the team on its win, and Mr Beauchamp, responding, for the Club, praised the President for the efficient manner in which lie-lmd carried out his duties. Tie said that, when Mr Guy took charge of the Club’s welfare he followed in the very able footsteps of Mr G. Cutler, whom the Club thought they could never replace. The welfare of the Club was largely in the President’s hands, and it proved that Mr Guy, with the support of an able executive, was the right man in the right place, the Hautere Club being second tet none on the coast in the way of equipment. Several toasts were honored, and a very enjoyable eveningbroke up at midnight. It was decided during the evening to hold a dance on Easter Monday night after the Field Day, the programme of which was slightly altered.
