The Mayor, Mr Brandon, is indispos. ed. and was uuable to attend the Box ough Council meeting last evening.
Dr. Sharp is making good progress towards recovery, and expects to be about again in a few days. At a meeting of th-c Otaki Band last evening, the Mayor was elected president, and Mr Kupa llawea vice-presi-dent, for the ensuing year. Mr O. Basse was appointed lamplighter by the Borough Council last evening, and Mr Cr. Wkiterburn ranger and sexton.
