PANTOMIME IN OTAKI.
"OLD MOTHEE HTJBBAED." A big Sydney pantomime, which will include Father Christmas, a fairy princess, a dashing and shapely principal boy and his dainty sweetheart, a funnyold lady and her troublesome husband, a humorous dog, pretty and clever ballet dancers, excellent specialities, beautiful scenery and costumes, and, iu fact, everything that goes to make up a successful entertainment, is promised at the Otaki theatre on Monday, March 20th. "Old Mother Hubbard" is the title of the pantomime, and round the old nursery rhyme has been woven a very interesting story that holds tho audience's attetition from the rise of the curtain to the final tableaux. In this particular version there is aMr Hubbard., whose principal hobby is running into the hotel on the slightest provocation. Of course, there is Pontoftha dog, who has a fine acting part and is ' bound to be a favorite with all. Particular attention has beon paid to tho musical portion of the programme, and the management has been fortunate in securing a voice of beautiful quality for the part of the Fairy Princess. Never before in pantomime has a finer voice been heard than that of Miss Ethel Osborn, and lovers of good music are in tor a rare treat, her interpretation of "The Pipes of Pan," "Tho Nightingale's Trill," and "The Last Kose of Summer." being things of joy. Others with voices well above ihc average are Miss Lulla Panning and Misj Audrey Cnrlyle, the principal boy and girl.
