SHEEPSKINS, HIDES AND TALLOW

SALE,

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Company, reports that there was a fair attendance of buyers at last week's sale and good competition for sheepskins, at a slight advance on last sales rates. Hides and calfskins were rather lower. Tallow in shipping condition was in better demand, at an advance of Is to Is 6d per cwt.

Sheepskins:—Halfbrcd 3d to fid, fine crossbred 4|d to 5-Jd, med. coarse crossbred 3}d to s}d, short to half wools l:'td to 4|d, lambs 2J.d to 4jd, dead and damaged crossbred ]-;d to 4d, inferior and badly damaged id to 2Jd, pelts Id to 2d, damp, salted and green Is Id to 2s 7d, pelts, salted 3d to Is sd, lambs salted, Is to 2s.
