AN OBJECTION,

j To the Editor. i Sir, —I have been requested by sonic members of the Hautere Rifle Club to protest at the unsportsmanlike action of the Otaki Athletic Club holding I their meeting on Easter Monday, know- ; ing that we have an annual rifle meeting on the same day. AVe have some Bandsmen who are ictivo members; I thev cannot, shoot and play in the ' band. AVe have also several athletes who cannot be at Hautere and Otaki at, the same time, and wo think that the most courteous thing they could have done would have been to iave made some arrangement with our Cub. —I am, etc., A. THOMSON, Secretary tI.D.R.G.
