KITCHEN EVENING.
Last Friday evening Mrs Waldo Stevens gave a. kitchen evening to Miss Myrtle Standisli. whose marriage to Mr Cfuy Aspinall takes place shortly. Mrs Stevens made use of the Waihoanga school for the function, and the popularity of this eoliple was evidenced by the fact that even this building proved almost too small for the great number who assembled. The gifts wore numerous and novel and the writer knows „ for a fact that for many years to come their kitchen will be well provided for by useful articles. Quite a number of the more energetic youthful ones spent the early part of the evening outside indulging in some of the good old games. The staid ones played cards until supper, after which a pleasant little dance was held. It, is safe to say ■ it could be noted one of the happiest i evenings ever spent by the Waihoanga residents. At the conclusion of the evening hearty cheers were given for the host and hostess.
