-■— « TOWN v. COUNTRY. This match was played at Otaki os Saturday, and resulted in a win by a nerroy margin for the country-ites. Following are the results of the games, Country being mentioned first in each case: — Godding, Irving, Webster. Olliver (s) r. Davres, Wltchell, Bills, Batherley (a), 17 —25 The town players opened with a five, followed by two twos and a single, but on the next four heads failed to score. On the ninth head they secured another five, and had a lead of 15—5. The country players scored nine on the next two heads, and the game was 15 —15 on the 12th head. .The townites then forged ahead and won comfortably. Freeman, Williams, Kilrnister, Noble (hj v. Smith, Vann, O'Rourke, Brandon 24—Id. This game for a time was evenly contS*t#d, the score being 13— 12 oa the 15th head. Or. the last three heads Country scored ten. KM mister. Siddells, McGill, Fielding fa) v. Atkinson, ilocre, Niftolson, Whiteman, 22 —IS. This was a battle between the “colts.” The country players started ofl in great style and on the Bth head had s lead of 17—1. After this the townites picked up and on the 25th head were only four down.
