PARLIAMENTARY.
The House of Representatives went into Committee on the Retrenchment, or Public Expenditure Adjustment, Bill at 7.30 on Wednesday night, and, exclusive of the haif-hour adjournment for supper, sat continuously for 12 hours, adjourning at E o’clock yesterday morning till 2.30 p.m. that afternoon. In all 30 divisions were taken during the twelve hours of actual sitting, or'-at the rate of 24 "divisions per hour. The discussion whs continued when the House resumed yesterday afternoon, and was carried on throughout the' remainder' of the day and night.
