Prom a Correspondent. ; WELLINGTON, December 21. J The manager for New Zealand for I the National Mutual Life Association \ has received the following cable message from the head office, Melbourne: — "The 52nd annual general meeting of members was held to-day. The new business for the year is very satisfactory. Over 14.000 policies, insuring over five and a-half millions, were issued. The total income for the year, iacluding interest and premiums, amounted to over two and a-half millions. The sum of £1,400,000 has been added to tie funds, which cow tota! over £15.000,000. Tie interest earned on. the average funds after deducting income tax was £5 4* 5d per cent.
