SANITATION BY-LAWS. pUBLIO NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Council of the County of Hutt, heid on the Bth November, 1921, the following resolution was passed, namely:— That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 108 Counties Act, 1920, and section 67 The Public Health Act, 1920, and every and any other Act enabling the Council of the County of Hutt hereby resolves: “That the Special Order confirmed on the 9th day of May, 1905, whereby certain by-laws were made are' hereby amended by inserting the following clauses between clause 4 and clause 5 in part of Chapter 11 dealing with sanitation." The purport of the proposed by-law is to specify the size and character of night soil pans and privies. A copy of the proposed special order is deposited at the Office of the County of Hutt, 68 Lamb ton Quay, Wellington, and is open to inspection during office hours. AND NOTICE is hereby .given that a meeting of the Council of the County of Hutt will be held at the offices of the Council, 68 Lambton Quay, Wellington, on TUESDAY, the 17th day of January, 1922, at 10 o’clock a.m., when the foregoing resolution will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order. HEAVY TRAFFIC BY-LAWS AMENDMENT. pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given thui ' at a Special Meeting of the Hut; County Council held on the 21st, day ot December, 1921, the following rcsolu tion was passed namely:— ‘That in pursuance of the powers vest ed in it by the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908, ana every and any other Act enabling them in that behalf the Chairman. Councillors and Inhabitants of the County of Hutt hereby order as follows: — That the Special order confirmed on the 9th day of May, 1905, whereby certain by-laws were made are hereby amended by adding the following clauses which will form part of PART 11 of the said Special Order. ’ ’ The object and purpose of the proposed by-laws is as follows: — t. To restrict the ordinary weight to be carried over the Rimutaka-Manga-roa and Paekakariki Hills to threetons, including the Weight of the vehicle and to make provision foi the granting of permission for the carriage of weights exceeding three tons. J. To specify the conditions under which such permission will be grant ed. i. To prescribe the fees which shall be charged for the grant or such permission. 1. To declare that as regards petrol and benzine 31 cases, containing eight gallons each, shall be deemed to weigh one ton, and that as regards kerosene, 29 eases containing eight gallons each shall be deemed to weigh one ton.
