WEDDING BELLS.

BTJEUNG—GEEATHEAD. A quiet but pretty wedding took place at Otaki on Wednesday, the eoniraeuug parties being Mr Edward tuning, of Ohura, and Miss Maud uitaUiead, younger daughter of Mis -i. Greathead, of Otaki. 'Jihe ceremony look place .at the residence ot tnc uudo's mother, in the,presence of relatives aud a few intimate friends, tno tie v. B. P. Keall officiating. Ihe bride, who was given away by her grandfather, Mr W. Tom, was attired in ivory erepe-do-ehene, handsomely braided, and also wore the custoiuaiy vcii and orange blot-sonis. Aliss Ida Greathead was the only bridesmaid, and wore a pretty saxe blue crep«-do-chene frock and black picture hat. Both bride and bridesmaid carried lovely bouquets of pink and white sweet peas and carnations, the gift of Mrs Newconibe, of Wellington (sister of the bridegroom). The bridegroom was supported by his nephew, Mr Ernest Burling, is best man. After the ceremony the guests partook of a sumptuous wedding breakfast aud several toasts were proposed and duly honoured. A number of useful wedding presents were received. Prom the bridegroom the bride received a handsomu pearl brooch, and the bridesmaid a greenstone uud pearl brooch. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a gold nugget tie-pin. Later Mr and Mrs Burling left by car for a honeymoon trip, amid showers of confetti 2 Mrs Hurling wearing a grey travelling costume and blue and fawn hat. The. future residence will bo in Ohura.
