Mr Smith returned hearty thanks is bis eharaeteristk humorous fashion. He «dd Lc thought, ft %'i : ry wicked of them to encourage him in. bad habit of •smoking. He had no idea that they wei* aware of his indulgence in this I i xhy. However, -peaking seriously, be < keenly appreciated their kiadnem and | was very pleased that tbt? b*jy* hn.fi j tioarr'nr of Itim. Mr .Hrsith j-aid he j would think kir.dry of the lads, and j wished them all good in the future.
