ADPI2JGTON MARKET. QVER-STJPPLY AND PRICES BASE. Christchurch, December 8. At the Addington market to-day there were increased yardings of all kinds of stock, and the over-supply caused an easing in both beef and cattle, and store sheep also were affected by the wool position. Store Sheep.—A bigger yarding than usual, inclusive of Chatham Islands sheep, and practically the whole of the yarding were out of the wool. The demand was weak, except for forward adult wethers, and a considerable quantity was passed in. Forward 4 and fi-tooth wethers realised from 2Ss yd to 31sb'd, fairly good 4 and G-tooth wethers 2fis to 28s, inferior 4 and 6tooth wethers 24s to 25s fid, fair 2tooth wethers 23s 7d to 245, cull and inferior 2-tOoth wethers 17s 2d to 22s :id. 4 and 6-tooth half-bred woolly wethers 33s 3d, good 2-tooth ewes 3(is 2d, inferior 2-tooth ewes 20s fid to 24s lid, ordinary 4-tooth dry ewes 2fis Id, sound and failing mouth dry ewes 17s to 10s. Fat Lambs.—ln all 675 were yarded nnd prices receded to the figure prevailing a fortnight ago. Fat Sheep.— Vendors met a weaker market' and prime wether mutton sold at only a slight reduction on last sale. Medium quality and ewe mutton were dowu by several shillings per head to > ally freezing rates, and passings were j numerous. Store Cattle.—A considerable yarding and an indifferent demand. Three-year steers £lO ss, two year steers £4 10s. heifers £S 2s fid. yearling heifers £3 7s fid, cows £6 to £lO 15s, bulls £3 Jss to £0 10s. Vealers.—Good .vcalers were in request, but for others there was only a moderate demand. Runners £S 15s, good vealers £7 2s fid, medium vealers £4 15s, inferior calves 10s to £2 2s.
Fat .Pigs.—A bi" penning and a fair sale. Choppers £5 10s to £5 17s fid, light baconers £5 10s to £3 17s fid. heavy baconers £6 to £'(s 15s, extra heavy baconers £7 to £7 12s, average price per lb lOd; light porkers £3 14s to £4, heavy porkers £4 10s to £5. average price per lb ll*d to J2d".
