OTAKI LICENSING BENCH.

QUARTERLY meeting. The quarterly meeting of the Otaki Licensing Bench was held yesterdayPresent: Messrs J. Logan Stout (chairman), Ben Ling, H. Freeman, and T. H. Windley. Manakau Hotel. Herbert James Aitken applied for a renewal of a license in respect to th Family Hotel at Manakau. The clcil (Mr O’Rourke) pointed out that m permit had been applied for on tin previous occasion, and that the liccn see had really been selling without .1 r e nse. In answer to the Chairman. Mr Aitken said the erection ot the nev. building was being pushed on as ev peditiously as possible, and that ex tons of cement and six or seven true ■ of timber had now been secured, view of this the contractors hoped t have the lirst storey up by January, uud if material was available to linnw the job right out.
